This book is so packed with information, interesting and emotional. It goes back to the roots of black diaspora and names the most important events. This book is worth every cent! Very much recommended!
Great read
Utterly amazing, eye opening, incredibly informative, and accessible for people who aren't yet involved with discussions of race in the UK. I would strongly recommend anyone to read this book. It taught me so much.
... by exactly those white people that were supposed to be triggered. This proves even more how true and important books like these are.If you’re willing to learn and grow and work towards a more united community and world, this narrative will help you do so.Especially recommend this to white feminists, who haven’t been aware of their privilege.
All arguments on her main topics like "white privilage", "patriarchy" and "racial discrimination" are based just on her personal feelings and experiences. No resonable statistics about anything. For me it sounds like she didn't even try to search for the truth. She just wanted a new superlative to the already existing narrative.I clearly do not reccomend this book. If you don't believe me - just read the first few pages, do a reasonable research of her so called facts.
Detailed and informative including a historical overview in the beginning. Without knowing the past you won't understand the complex structures of the present - especially when it comes to systemic issues.
